Zohab

This sweet girl named Zohab I met near Pretoria Street,Kolkata, was dancing in her mood in an alley of North Kolkata . The time she found me coming with a camera she ran into her house and after so many request she agreed to let me take her picture, but the sad part is after a small conversation with her,her uncle/father (I don’t know) came out and protested as usually the people from this religion do specially in Kolkata. He said to leave that place immediately and even threatened to beat. Feel so silly how they are trying to spread the secularism while being a part of a country like India. Incredible India._DSC8105

Alley of Kolkata
Family Drama

Story telling moment of a family captured from an unknown alley in the core of North Kolkata. The eye catching moment in this photo IMO is the boy with that mask, but all his siblings creates the happy surroundings around him to make this moment more dramatic. This is my favorite shot taken on the Independence day of India(15th August 2015).This is a very similar scene one can find in the narrow lanes of Kolkata(Rather u may call it Calcutta which is more lusty in my opinion).

Flower man

On the go

Busy scene near Howrah Flower Market.Photo was taken at Howrah Mullick Ghat, which is mostly used for washing clothes, taking baths and piling up the wastes of the Flower Market. This little kid with a car in her hand was playing while I was taking her photo, but this man with flower chains suddenly came into this scene and the other two was trying to pretend that they were also being shot. This is one of the busy ghats as it’s the nearest Ghat of the Huge flower market.

Location: Howrah,West Bengal,India.

Happily Single

Happily Single

“Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions.”
Dalai Lama

All you can find in this pic is happiness, freedom, love. The childhood what everybody misses in teenage period of life is for this single thing “Happiness”.This little girl was not playing with her friends, neither she was having some expensive toys in her hands, but that little stick of candy was enough to put the smile on her face, the last rays of the evening was kissing her face like a mother does with lot of affection and love. This pic was taken in a fraction of second as soon as I saw this little girl with a priceless smile as her mother gripped her hand and took her away just after I took the shot(I do feel lucky for having this shot). This girl doesn’t belong from a wealthy family, but that didn’t snatched away the smile from her face.A happy scene like this was more than enough to end a hectic day of photo tour in the streets of Kolkata.
Be happy and spread the word of Happiness in the world like this little girl did.
