They name it religious!

_DSC7963.jpg

They call it religious, wearing hizab or the cap always, but the religion must be named after humanity , wearing hizab or cap and then taking up the guns or bomb shells doesn’t make them religious,if u living in India then try to respect the country at least where u r born n brought up,don’t ask it to be part of Pakistan,if you wanna join do join without any doubt but don’t dream about parting the Kashmir. It’s a warning from the Indians, don’t ever dream about it.

Kick

Rikshaw puller
Kick

One of the vintage(You may call it Heritage as for your self satisfaction 🙂 ) trnsport system of Kolkata.First it was introduced in Kolkata, rather in Calcutta during the British rule period, but still people love to have a ride on it.They ring the bells in their hand and pulls the rikshaw using their body strength to help us reaching our destination.Whatever the weather condition is, the high time in the summer afternoon,or rain drenched Kolkata streets or chilled winter morning, they are always ready to pull us to the destination we want.Seeing the pain in their eyes while they pull the Rikshaw you may once decide to not avail them as your transport but for kind information, they don’t have any other source of income, even West Bengal government stepped back from withdrawing all these pull rikshaw from the streets in excuse of betterment of traffic. You can find them in the wide open high ways and in the tiny lanes of Kolkata. They too often spend their nights in the footpaths of Kolkata and sometime accidental death also comes in their way during the night time, but still they do love what they do,and we do love our city heritage.

Sahil-a boy from the slum area of Kolkata

Sahil
Sahil

SAHIL-naam to suna hi hoga 🙂

A hectic day in the streets of Kolkata as it was 2 pm then and the heat of Sun was in full mood to make the people in the streets exhausted.Suddenly I stopped by a place near Esplanade, boy’s were coming from a distance and I wanted to capture them but due to some reason I ended up with nothing in that attempt, but that was meant for something to do after while,I mean to meet Sahil was in my fate today. This boy was a fabulous affair of today’s street hunt for photographs. He introduced himself as “Main hoon Sahil”(I am Sahil) and asked me to take his picture.I turned back and headed towards for some place else but suddenly I thought to talk with that boy again and went there again looking for him,as we shared talks between us I came to know that he loves to play cricket,a fan of MSD(Mahendra Singh Dhoni) and loves watching WWE show(specially for John Cena),though he doesn’t go to school, spends his entire day with his friends in those streets and lanes.A smile from him made me so happy at the end of the day.But still I can see poverty snatching away the education in every corner of our City of Joy,does this really justify this title for our city?
